Dr. Nelson de Ramirez

Dr. Nelson de Ramirez is the Founder of OC Kids Therapy and a doctoral-level Psychologist, Licensed Psychotherapist, and Professional Mediator serving clients in Orange County, California. With more than 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist, mediator, life coach, and business owner, she brings a highly personalized, results-driven approach to care.

Her work is grounded in brief, solution-focused therapy and evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Nelson de Ramirez believes therapy should do more than provide insight. It should equip people with the tools, strategies, and support needed to create meaningful change.

By integrating traditional therapy with coaching, she helps clients identify what is holding them back, work through challenges with clarity, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose. Her approach is thoughtful, practical, and tailored to the individual, with a focus on progress rather than prolonged treatment.

Dr. Nelson de Ramirez does not believe clients need to stay in therapy indefinitely. Her practice is built on an open-door philosophy, offering focused support when it is needed and ongoing guidance as life changes. Some clients come in for a few sessions during a difficult period. Others return as needed for trusted professional support. In either case, the goal remains the same: effective care that helps clients move forward.

She understands that most people want therapy that is efficient, meaningful, and worth the investment. That is why she creates individualized treatment plans designed to address each client’s needs with precision and purpose. Her work commonly supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, marital conflict, phobias, distorted thinking patterns, self-image concerns, and other issues that interfere with well-being and everyday functioning.

At the center of her work is a clear philosophy: high-quality care should be personal, practical, and effective.
