Dr. Nelson de Ramirez
Philosophy

Dr. Nelson's work is grounded in brief, solution-focused therapy and evidence-based treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She believes therapy should do more than provide insight — it should equip people with the tools, strategies, and support needed to create meaningful change.

By integrating traditional therapy with coaching, she helps clients identify what is holding them back, work through challenges with clarity, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose. Her approach is thoughtful, practical, and tailored to the individual, with a focus on progress rather than prolonged treatment.

Dr. Nelson does not believe clients need to stay in therapy indefinitely. Her practice is built on an open-door philosophy — offering focused support when it's needed, and ongoing guidance as life changes. Some clients come in for a few sessions during a difficult period; others return as needed for trusted professional support. In either case, the goal remains the same: effective care that helps clients move forward.

"High-quality care should be personal, practical, and effective."
